Biography
Lily Alter is a jazz vocalist, pianist, and educator from Oak Park, IL. She received her bachelor's in Jazz Studies at Western Michigan University. While attending WMU, she won Downbeat Awards in 2023 and 2024 for Outstanding Vocal Jazz Soloist. She recently graduated from the University of North Texas with her master's, where she was a teaching fellow and the vocalist for the One O’Clock Lab Band. You can find Lily playing solo piano and voice gigs, as well as shows with her group, at venues throughout the Midwest. She is also a private voice and piano instructor. She is currently based near the Twin Cities in Minnesota.
